Oh, the Places You’ll Go and the Equipment You’ll Need…

Last week, Aiden completed the first milestone of his academic career: Preschool graduation.

Initially, I thought, it’ll be cute seeing Aiden with his buddies in their caps and gowns, and next year’s kindergarten graduation will be the “real” first graduation. Consequently, we didn’t take the big, professional-like cameras; instead, Greg took his iPhone to capture video and pictures. I mean, this was only a little preschool event, so we should be able to get some decent pictures of the kids singing—right? Wrong. We got to Aiden’s graduation 30 minutes early. The venue was packed. There were digital cameras and video cameras galore. Parents lined the aisles and scurried hither and thither throughout the graduation to shoot from the best angles, not wanting to miss a second their precious little Einsteins. Consequently, we (loser parents) were in the back of the room and missed much of the cuteness. Greg did manage to get some good shots, but even before the event began, Aiden was tired of the paparazzi buzzing all about, as you’ll see in the video.
